Since then, my relationship with people and my audience has grown significantly (and the mic is also kinda better). Of course, I also streamed several other games and took advantage of deals on Steam. The next year (this year), I was able to play Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts on Xbox Game Pass and beat it. My laptop at the time was only good for low end gaming like N64 emulation, and I wasn’t interested in anything other than that (and recording potato quality with my Dazzle) until I was gifted this new laptop last December. I moved on from all that quickly because of how laughable the situation was. I decided the stress was not worth it, so I planned no live streams, and was just going to premiere Sonic Adventure with my new HDMI capture card… but my TV broke, then the capture card started to screen tear. I didn’t want to edit the stream, remove the live chat replay, and ruin the video. It was my pet birds, my cockatiel and conure, they were very chirpy and it made me pretty angry that day. Why? Not because of subscribers, or anything else, I wanted to keep streaming. But I still continued.Īnd I stopped after my Gex live stream for 2 months. I did live streaming later with GTA III and Banjo-Kazooie: The Jiggies of Time and got more people unsubbing and subbing, like ocean waves. It put me in a creative slump, but didn’t stop the drive to upload videos to YouTube, so I did some full game premieres, something my channel never did before, and got penalized for it. In 2021, my girlfriend had heart surgery, and was gone a majority of that year too. It was around Christmas time and many people online helped which I’m still grateful for. ![]() What made things worse was later that year in December, we had to go to a hotel for a month because of a roach infestion. My girlfriend was gone a majority of that year because of an accident. In 2020, for my girlfriend and I, more than just COVID happened. I tried a Banjo Pilot stream in 2019 and looked to continue but other things yet again were getting in the way, and eventually, I had to move again in July, somewhere for 3 months, before moving again in October 2019, by a sheer miracle. My living situation changed, and I didn’t handle it well. While living at that new house in summer 2018, there were problems with an elderly roommate (friend of the landlord) that I hate to bring up again, which affected production on my channel a bit that summer. So my girlfriend and I had to find a new place, and the only one we found in time was at the next city over, a much smaller location. Between let’s plays, I was being forced to move out because my roommate who was on the lease (not us) kept saying they were moving out. In spring 2018, I did let’s play videos of Banjo-Dreamie and Grunty’s Revenge, but that time wasn’t the greatest. It wasn’t a good impression on my audience. Numerous attempts afterwards had some more viewers, but a bad Internet connection. My channel was a lot smaller than it is now. In early 2017, I did some streams at YouTube and Twitch, but other things got in the way, and when things went right, no one watched anyway. Live streaming is something I’ve wanted to do since, I’d say, the beginning of my YouTube channel, around 2008 or so, but something always led to another stopping me from doing it and caring.
