That is because comfort is a priority with clothing. ComfortĪrc’teryx has a combination of perfect insulation, lightweight, and weather resistance that makes it slim and comfortable to wear anywhere and in different weather conditions. Mostly during travel, people are concerned with the weight of an item because it determines how many clothes one is going to pack for the trip.Īrc’teryx put this into consideration in their design as the men’s medium jacket weighs 12.9 oz making it a great feel when worn and when packed.īut its disadvantages lie in the fact that these great pieces do not come with stuff packed to stuff in the jacket, making it hard to pack. Weather ResistanceĪrc’teryx LT jackets are designed with the following Īll the above attributes make the arc’teryx jacket a great weather-resistant piece. They are lined with 60% compact core-loft save for the panels on both sides which stretch providing a perfect fit. Now, as a full-time PCMag staffer, I'm focusing on reviewing processors and graphics cards while dabbling in all other things PC-related.Synthetic materials are great in insulation, making arc’teryx spot on. In that time, I've reviewed desktops, PC cases, and motherboards as a freelancer, while also producing deals content for the site and its sibling ExtremeTech. I wrote for the well-known tech site Tom's Hardware for three years before I joined PCMag in 2018. ![]() In my role at PCMag, I greatly enjoy the opportunity to share what I know. I've always sought to learn as much as possible about anything PC, leading to a well-rounded grasp on all things tech today. I began working on computers owned by immediate family members and relatives when I was around 10 years old. The Nano will have more appeal if you want to squeeze the most performance out of a Mini-ITX build and are willing to give up a bit of space for extra cooling and expandability.įor as long as I can remember, I've had love of all things tech, spurred on, in part, by a love of gaming. That's still relatively compact, and positively miniature next to the original Torrent, but if you're planning to build a truly small Mini-ITX PC this case is not for you. Although technically a Mini-ITX case, it's closer to a MicroATX chassis in terms of its exterior measurements, at 14.8 by 8.7 by 16.4 inches (HWD). Just like Fractal Design's first Torrent case, the Torrent Nano is larger than you'd expect. We still like the Streacom DA2 for its highly premium metal build, but the Torrent Nano gets the job done for less than half the price. Though both the Torrent Nano and its price are a bit bigger than you'd expect in the Mini-ITX class, it has many of the features that we loved in the original Torrent and succeeds as a desirable, superior small desktop platform. As a follow-on, however, Fractal Design has introduced the Torrent Nano-a new chassis inspired by that model but in a much smaller Mini-ITX form factor, for a much more affordable $119.99. The Fractal Design Torrent is one of the best full-size PC cases that we’ve reviewed in recent years, but its bulky design and lofty price (it lists for $189.99) will keep it out of the hands of space- and cash-strapped builders.
